15th-anniversary celebration in Serbia
Different people. Same vision. Years of success.

Task

Initially, the brief was to organize the classic anniversary celebration event. 

However, the year behind us will be remembered as the time during which most of the creative energy went to overcoming objective, physical obstacles and adapting to the conditions of the pandemic.

We responded to the jubilee event task with a proposal to celebrate safely, responsibly and digitally. We have set ourselves the goal of stimulating the atmosphere and the emotions in the virtual environment, the same ones we would otherwise create in an offline, live event if it wasn’t for the pandemic.

Basic information

When?  

October 29, 2020

Where?

 Several locations in Belgrade; at the factory venue in Zemun; from abroad.

Who?

Ball Serbia employees and their children; Ball Serbia managers and top management representatives from the USA; winners of the awards/recognitions; program hostess Maria Kilibarda; invitees from respectable institutions and companies.

 

How?  

By being creative enough to celebrate in an adequate, safe way:  simultaneously organizing online events, gifts’ home delivery to the guests and the installation of the devices at the factory venue. 

Why?  

Because the jubilee celebration event and the feeling of unity and satisfaction should exceed and overcome the current circumstances and obstacles.

Context and challenges

• The challenge we faced (is it even necessary to describe it?) - the COVID-19 pandemic; dramatically changed reality both in day-to-day life and business, the adjustment to the newly created security conditions and measures.

• The imperative of absolute safety and maximum avoiding any health risks.

• Connecting the participants from several continents and locations in Belgrade.

PROJECT

The concept we promote is based on experiencing togetherness, the exchange of energies, ideas and information, and the sense of physical reality. The cancellation of the physical manifestation of the event was a challenge that required an adequate response. So we responded to the challenge.

 

The answer was a live birthday celebration online, via video transmission and the installation of a giant Ball logo that visualizes the anniversary of the Ball Corporation in Serbia.

Ball Serbia employees, jubilees and their kids born in the first 15 years of work in the company.

Company management: Branislav Savic (factory director), Nikola Narancic (sales director for Southeast Europe), John Hayes (president and CEO of Ball Corporation), Ronald Lewis (president of Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA), Gerhard Meyer (director of Ball Beverage Packaging operations EMEA) and Jason Ramskill (Vice President, Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA).

   Three pre-recorded forms:
- Inspirational video with employees' children
- Company achievements and fun facts in the form of a short documentary
- Congratulations to the company and the team by the awarded employees


• Live of the managers from around the world
• Device installation  (Ball logo printed with the employees’ names)
• Production of the give-away materials - gifts for guests
• Distribution of the gifts to home and business addresses of the guests via courier services on the day of the event (150 gifts were handed over in two hours shortly before the broadcast)
