Baltasar wineshop and its creator Đorđe Zarić have been creators of a project with no precedents or competition in our region. We may easily say that Đorđe Zarić is a local form of relevant information source about wines, of course with its local characteristics – just like the wines he imports and sells are.

 

If we would try to describe energy and enthusiasm, we should reach further, out of the wine world, and compare Đorđe to Anthony Bourdain: for the sake of his passion and job he is travelling, working, seeking, talking, connecting, asking, learning and educating.

 

For the wine devotees, he is one of the ultimate endorsers, promoters not only of wine but also of the wine way of life. There is no competition in the market which could disrupt his position. Đorđe and the Wine Trekkers crew are holding a stable and progressive position in the wine niche.

The way the story poured into digital

  • More than a decade and a half ago, Đorđe was the first producer of blind wine tastings in our region, and he published the results in the media. At the same time, the idea about a wine shop emerged and gathered a group of wine devotees and wine lifestyle lovers.

  • Today, Đorđe is a pioneer of video format Wine trekkers, which enables him to make a step towards consumers, members of the industry and wine lovers.

  • Wine Trakkers show is being produced completely no-budget. The shooting is done with a phone, while the editing, post-production and placement online is a passion project of creative agency Super Dot.

Wine Trekkers show

  • The show is launched in September 2020. The show concept is made of three types of episodes:

  • Wine tasting of 4 kinds of wine and a chat about all of them (origin, cultivation, bottling, design)…

  • Restaurant segment of the show, with sommeliers and other experts

  • A visit to various Serbian wineries, which  gladly host Đorđe and his crew
